🔒 Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
Who runs this site
Early Bird Arcade is operated by an Oregon LLC.
This site is made for children
We treat the whole site as directed to children under 13 under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We designed it so that we do not need to collect personal information from children.
What we collect
- From children: nothing that identifies them. No accounts, names, email addresses, chat, photos, voice recordings, location, contact lists or purchases.
- Game progress (scores, levels, stars, sound setting) is saved in your browser's local storage on your device. It is never sent to us. You can delete it on the For Parents page or by clearing your browser data.
- Spoken prompts in the learning games use your device's own built-in voice. Nothing is recorded or sent.
- Hosting: the site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses and basic request information to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We do not use this to identify anyone, and we do not run our own visitor logs or analytics.
- No analytics and no social media widgets.
Ads
Ads are currently switched off. While they are off, no ad code is loaded and no ad company receives any information from this site.
If we switch ads on, we will use Google AdSense and tag every ad request for child treatment (Google's "tag for age treatment" = child, plus the older "child-directed treatment" tag) and request non-personalized ads only. Google says child treatment turns off personalized ads and remarketing, turns off requests to third-party ad vendors, and applies its ad-serving protections for children. Before ads are switched on, we will also tag the whole site as child-directed in Google Search Console, and we will update this policy.
Google may collect a persistent identifier (such as the device's IP address or an ad cookie) only to serve contextual ads, limit how often an ad is shown, measure that ads were delivered, and prevent fraud and abuse. Under COPPA this is called "support for internal operations" (16 CFR 312.2). It may not be used to contact a child, to build a profile, or for behavioral advertising.
Ads would appear only on the home page, the parents' page and game menu or "round over" screens, never during play, and never in the ages 5–8 learning games. Each ad is labelled "Advertisement."
Sharing
We do not sell or rent information, and we do not share children's personal information. The only services that receive technical data are our web host and, when ads are on, Google AdSense, as described above.
Retention and security
We do not collect or keep personal information about children, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Game progress stays on your device until you clear it. The site is served only over HTTPS and uses a strict Content Security Policy, so pages load only this site's own files.
Parents' rights
Because we do not collect personal information from children, we have none to review or delete. Saved game progress is on your device and you can delete it at any time. If you think we have received your child's information by mistake, contact us (our parent contact email (coming soon)) and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Links that leave this site are only on the parents' page and ask a grown-up question first. Other sites have their own privacy policies.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If we ever want to collect personal information from children, we will first get verifiable parental consent as COPPA requires.
